“Bionicle: Iliad” is an international fan project endeavouring to retell the story of the Lego Bionicle franchise that inspired so many childhoods.
Fun fact: Initially, this scene was not supposed to happen. While practicing the unique Iliad Bionicle animation style, I was given full creative freedom—so I thought it would be funny to use backstage lines instead of regular ones.
The Art Director loved it so much that he asked me to make a backstage animation with Onua, a character who hadn’t spoken a single line in the whole episode.
